Veneers are done in two appointments. The first one is your dentist preparing your teeth. When this process is done, you’ll have impressions taken. This model of your teeth will be sent to a dental lab. A technician will then craft your veneers out of a high-quality material, oftentimes it\u2019s porcelain. It takes about a couple of weeks for them to perfect these custom shells. In the meantime, you’ll have a temporary set placed. These can help you trial run your new smile to see how it will look<\/em>. You may notice they are still comfortable but feel<\/em> a bit bulky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Will My Permanent Veneers Be?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once your dentist gets your final veneers back, you\u2019ll be back to have them bonded on. Right after your appointment, you are good to show off your renewed grin! It\u2019s normal and expected to have some minor sensitivity for a couple of days afterward. It should go away after a short while, and then your results should feel comfortable and just like natural!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, if you got this treatment to change the shape of your teeth, then it takes a couple of weeks to get used to them. They will still look great and fit into your smile without any worries, but you may feel them a bit more. Your tongue may even bump into them on occasion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
